Die Polizei verhaftet unterdessen Riccardo. Dieser findet zusammen mit dem Maresciallo heraus, dass das Motiv nicht beim Speed-Dating zu suchen ist, sondern dass der letzte Artikel des Journalisten das wahre Motiv bereithält. In diesem enthüllt der Journalist das Verhältnis seines Chef Francesco Posseti mit der erst 15jährigen Giovanna. Der Hintergrund der Tat liegt nämlich in der Vergangenheit Francescos.
